It is worth noting that the company launched this handset in China in November last year. It is believed that the Gionee S6 has a tough competition Oppo R7 Lite Will be from a smartphone.

Look & Design
The Gionee S6 has no unique identity. Recently launched current generation Motorola got a lot of recognition due to its special design but Gionee S6 can be easily got any Huvway or LEEco The phone can make mistake of understanding. But the truth is that this applies to almost all smartphones launched by Chinese companies recently. Gionee has used aluminum body in this smartphone and the phone looks beautiful in rose gold color. The phone is convenient to hold in the hand and its buttons are designed in such a way that it can be operated well with one hand.

The handset has a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution AMOLED display. There is Gorilla Glass 3 for protection and the phone's display can be seen in almost every type of light. The phone has non-backlight capacitive buttons for downward navigation which work well. Buttons on the side also work well. At the bottom is the Type-C USB charging point (USB 2.0 speed). At the back is a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. The front camera in the phone is 5 megapixels. The camera app will be equipped with Night Mode, Panorama Mode, Burst Mode, Magic Focus and many other features. Users will also be able to record videos in full-HD resolution.

The phone comes with a 10 watt charger, data cable, in-ear handset, screen guard, silicon case and a Usual Warranty Information Booklet. Phone accessory is fine. The phone also weighs just 148 grams and is slim enough to fit in a skinny jeans pocket.

Specification and software
It will run on the company's Amigo 3.1 OS which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. To make the smartphone strong, it has a 1.3 GHz 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT 67538 processor and uses 3 GB of RAM. But at this price, this processor is not so powerful that such a processor has been used in half price smartphones. The Mali-T720 GPU will be available for graphics.

The inbuilt storage of the smartphone is 32 GB which can be increased with the help of microSD card (up to 128 GB). Talking about connectivity, the Elphi S6 will come with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, 4G LTE (Band 40), USB OTG and USB Type-C feature. This smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with 3.1 Amigo Skin on top. Gionee has also given options like AMI Note and AMI Lock in this smartphone but these applications were not present in our review unit.

In this smartphone of Gionee, you can easily access your hidden photos from an easy pinch in the gallery. You can also detach an OTG device by tapping the button in the notification bar.

Performance
Despite the Extensive Skin, Android runs fast without any interruptions. Multi-tasking and transition effects are extremely easy with 1.6 GB RAM always available. While playing games and playing videos, the phone is slightly warm but never so hot that it becomes inconvenient. Voice calls are also made with good quality, but the earpiece does not have that good experience during long calls. VOLTE is one such feature that will also work with Reliance Jio Network.

Multimedia files can also be easily shared from Gionee S6 with easy video play back of 1080p. You can enable DTS audio with the help of stock video player to boost the sound. The audio quality with the headset is good but the loud speaker is not much better when watching movies other than jobs.

Gionee S6 has a 13 megapixel autofocus rear camera and the front camera is 5 megapixels. The camera app will be equipped with Night Mode, Panorama Mode, Burst Mode, Magic Focus and many other features. Users will also be able to record videos in full-HD resolution. The camera takes very good pictures in daylight. The camera can be captured by focusing the camera quickly. The HDR mode of the camera is slightly less sharp as it refused to take an HDR shot. The quality of photos did not look very good in low light. But overall the quality of the camera can be said to be good.

The camera can be shot in multiple modes with GIF, barcode reader and professional mode. The front camera takes a good selfie in the indoor. The quality of the recorded video was also good for us.

Gionee S6 has a dual sim device. It will run on the company's Amigo 3.1 OS which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It uses a 1.3 GHz 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT67538 processor and 3 GB of RAM. The Mali-T720 GPU will be available for graphics.

battery life
In the Gionee S6 equipped with a 3150 mAh battery, we could watch 12 hours and 3 minutes of video, which can be called good. On normal usage, we were able to run the phone for one and a half days without charging. However, Gionee makes no claims about fast charging in the phone, but the phone's 10 watt charger charges its battery from 0 to 35 percent in about half an hour.

Our decision
Gionee S6 is a smartly designed smartphone that is better than Oppo's R7 Lite smartphone. It has double onboard storage, and supports FM radio, VoLTE. But given its price, it could have a more powerful processor and better display. But Gionee seems to have fixed its price keeping in mind the design and design.

VoLTE is the most special feature of the phone that you will not be able to use at the moment. But you will be able to take advantage of this feature when Reliance's 4G network or other networks launch VoLTE service.

The Gionee S6 is a good phone that gives you a great look with better hardware. But it does not have some features like NFC and fingerprint sensor which could have made it more special.
